They have gained 10 lbs since their last visit three months ago. Ideal body weight is estimated to be 140-160 lbs. Patient is concerned about their recent weight gain and elevated blood sugar levels. They express a desire to improve their diet and overall health. **:::::::: NUTRITION EVALUATION ::::::::** Inadequate intake of fiber and increased intake of processed foods and sugary drinks related to poor dietary choices evident in client report and recent weight gain. - Patient reports eating a diet that is low in fiber, with frequent consumption of processed foods, sugary drinks, and fast food. - Patient reports a vitamin D deficiency. - Patient demonstrates a basic understanding of healthy eating principles but struggles with practical application. - Patient is receptive to education and intervention, expressing a willingness to make changes. - Patient identifies time constraints, lack of knowledge, and cravings as obstacles to healthy eating. **INTERVENTIONS:** **Nutrition prescription:** Patient will follow a 1800-calorie diet with an emphasis on whole grains, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables.
