About x.comfort integration with Heidi
Overview
Heidi's integration with x.comfort helps clinicians reduce documentation time and keep patient records up to date without disrupting their existing workflow. Using the GDT file exchange standard, Heidi connects with Medatixx to pass structured clinical notes directly between the two systems. This integration is available on the Heidi desktop app for Practice plan users and above, and is designed for clinicians and practices using x.isynet in Germany.
How does it work?
Heidi works alongside x.comfort via GDT file exchange, a widely used standard for data transfer between medical software systems in Germany. Clinicians use the Heidi desktop app to capture and generate clinical notes during or after a consultation, which are then passed to x.comfort via the GDT interface for filing into the patient record.
GDT file exchange: Heidi transfers clinical notes to x.comfort using the GDT standard, the established data exchange format across German medical software
Desktop app: The integration runs via the Heidi desktop app - no browser-based workaround required
AI-generated notes: Heidi listens and documents the consultation in real time, producing structured, editable notes ready to transfer
Fits existing workflows: Clinicians continue working in x.comfort as usual, with Heidi handling documentation in the background
