About MasterCare integration with Heidi
Overview
Clinicians on MasterCare+ can now transcribe visits, generate structured clinical notes, and push them into the patient record without leaving the platform. The Heidi widget sits directly inside MasterCare+, pulling in patient context automatically and filing the note in one click. It's designed for the full range of settings MasterCare supports across Australia: community health, mental health, specialist centres, day hospitals, and multi-disciplinary care teams.
How does it work?
The Heidi widget appears as a floating panel in the MasterCare+ clinical note editor and clinical documents list. Open it, start a recording, and Heidi transcribes the visit as it happens. Patient name, date of birth, and gender are passed in automatically from MasterCare+. When the visit is done, push the note into MasterCare+ with a single action.
Real-time transcription: Heidi listens to the visit and builds a structured clinical note as it happens — no typing during the consultation.
Push to an existing note: Insert the transcription directly into the note you are already editing.
Create a new note: From the Clinical Documents page, push the transcription as a brand-new draft clinical note, pre-filled and ready to review.
Auto-populated patient context: Name, date of birth, and gender come through from MasterCare+ automatically. The widget is ready as soon as you open it.

How to get connected
Getting started requires a short setup on the MasterCare+ side before clinicians can use the widget. Your MasterCare+ administrator will need to:
Enable the Heidi Health module for your organisation in MasterCare+.
Ensure clinician profiles have the correct permissions set up.
Configure the "New Heidi Document" clinical note template.
