1. Meet "Ask Heidi": Your AI Assistant

Think of Ask Heidi as your helpful intern or resident, ready to assist with your notes and tasks! You can ask questions or give instructions in plain language to quickly create, refine, or retrieve information.

What Can You Ask Heidi To Do?

Here are a few examples:

📝 Create documents:
“Create a referral letter for this patient to a dietitian.”
✂️ Summarise or edit:
“Create a shorter handover summary.”
“Make a specific section more concise or elaborate on it.”
💊 Retrieve quick info:“Remind me of the top three antidepressant medications in Australia.”

📋 Add important details:
“Add billing codes.”
“Summarise the clinician/assistant to-do list.”

💬 Capture patient insights:
“Retrieve patient quotes about a specific topic.”

2. Using Snippets to supercharge note generation

Snippets are pre-saved text fragments you can quickly insert into your notes using a shorthand command. You can create and manage your snippets in the Memory tab.

How to Create a Snippet:

Go to your Memory tab.
Add a shorthand (e.g., /normROS) and the content you want saved.
Save your snippet.

How to Use a Snippet:

‍To insert a snippet into a note:

Type a forward slash / followed by the shorthand (e.g., /normROS).
Press Enter, and the content will appear in your note.

Shorthand: /normROS

‍General: No fever, chills, fatigue, or weight changes
Skin: No rashes, lesions, or pruritus
HEENT:‍
- ‍Head: No headaches or dizziness
- Eyes: No vision changes or eye pain
- Ears: No hearing loss or tinnitus
- Nose: No congestion or rhinorrhea
- Throat: No sore throat or hoarseness
Cardiovascular: No chest pain, palpitations, or edema‍

To add this normal review of systems to your note, type /normROS and press Enter. The text will be instantly added!

3. Using Keyboard Shortcuts to Streamline Your Workflow

Speed up your work with keyboard shortcuts! These shortcuts helps save time ,simplify repetitive tasks you quickly perform actions without navigating through menus.

How to Access Keyboard Shortcuts

Press Command + S (Mac) or Ctrl + X (Windows) to view all available shortcuts

💡 Tip: Try using shortcuts for your most frequent actions to make your workflow more efficient!

Shortcuts are your key to working smarter, not harder. 🎯

Once your notes are generated, you can easily copy and share them with external platforms like electronic medical records (EMRs) or email.

How to Copy Your Notes:

Use the Copy Button:
- Click the Copy button to copy your note to the clipboard.
For Richly Formatted Notes (e.g., lists):
- Click the dropdown next to the Copy button.
- Select the appropriate format for your platform.
