Senior Product Designer
Who We Are
Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.
We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.
In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals — supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.
Backed by nearly $100 million in funding, we’re growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
The Role
As a Product Designer, you will be responsible for working end-to-end to craft exceptional user experiences, to ensure their pixel-perfect implementation, and to help shape future strategy. Alongside being great on the tools, you will have a deep understanding of design principles, user research, and how to translate user needs into intuitive and delightful designs. You will have experience building SaaS products in a hyper-growth startup environment. You will also have a firm grasp on design systems, accessibility, and the challenges of designing for complex products in lightspeed environments.
Your superpower is bridging the gap between user needs, business goals, and technical constraints to create innovative and user-centric solutions. You thrive in challenging situations and appreciate the dynamics of a flexible, flat-structured work environment. You are quick to grasp the nuances and complexities of designing AI products for healthcare internationally.
What you'll do:
Work both independently and collaboratively with other designers to create beautifully thought out UI with delightful UX that solves user problems and achieves business goals.
Be great at taking the complexity out of the hands of users, and solving challenging problems in innovative ways.
Provide thoughtful and constructive feedback on both product and brand work created by other designers in the team
Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather insights to inform design decisions.
Seamlessly hand over designs to engineers and complete design QA to ensure pixel perfect implementation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Product, Sales and more, to align on product vision and implementation.
Create high-fidelity designs and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
Help improve and maintain Heidi’s design system
Advocate for user-centric design principles and accessibility best practices throughout the organization.
What we'll look for:
Strong portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design skills and a user-centric approach.
Minimum 4 years experience designing complex SaaS products, bonus if you have experience in healthcare or B2B products.
Strong foundations in both hyperspeed startup-phase execution, as well as methodical, research-driven approaches – and the proven experience to know which lever to pull and when
You must have detailed knowledge of Figma, and know your way around other common design tools, such as the Adobe Suite.
Proven experience working with (and contributing to) design systems, design operations, and design governance
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to articulate design rationale to cross-functional teams.
The technical awareness to understand how designs get built and know how to collaborate with engineers to bring your vision to life (you don’t need to be able to code, but bonus points for knowing your way around HTML, CSS (Tailwind) and React).
Bonus points for knowing your way around product tools like Linear, Notion, Posthog and Intercom.
A passion for staying up-to-date with the latest design trends, methodologies, and technologies.
