Your team

You'll join the small team powering how Heidi grows. Your work shapes the architecture of our billing, payments, and entitlements platform: how the pieces fit together so customers can seamlessly access the products they need. Near-term that means launching usage-based billing, building seat management, and scaling our Stripe integration into global markets. You'll do it with a small group of strong engineers and the latest agentic tooling at your fingertips, where every feature shipped removes friction for customers and fuels the revenue that drives Heidi forward.

What you’ll do

• Build the revenue engine: Ship features across our billing platform, Stripe integration, and entitlements service, directly shaping how Heidi monetises and scales

• Launch usage-based billing: Contribute to metering, rating, proration, and invoice accuracy as we roll out usage-based pricing

• Deliver user-facing products: Ship seat management, subscription UX, and self-serve purchasing for individuals and organisations

• Drive growth through product: Build upsell and upgrade flows that match users to the right plan and turn product usage into revenue

• Work across the stack: Own features end-to-end in Python (backend services) and TypeScript/React (frontend)

• Ship fast with agentic tooling: Use the latest AI development workflows daily to move quickly without compromising quality, and help define what great looks like

What we’re looking for

• Strong full-stack or backend experience, ideally in Python and TypeScript/React

• Track record shipping user-facing features independently: scoping, building, shipping

• Experience with payments, billing, or subscription platforms (Stripe Billing, Connect, webhooks, idempotency, reconciliation a plus)

• Comfort with data modelling, API design, and reasoning through trade-offs

• Clear communicator who collaborates well with product, design, and go-to-market

• Fluent with AI-native engineering workflows, or eager to go deep fast

• Motivated by direct business impact and want to see your work drive revenue

• Excited to join a small team early and grow with it as Heidi scales into mid-market and enterprise

Valuable experience

• Usage-based billing: metering, rating, proration, invoice accuracy at scale

• Stripe at depth: Billing, Connect, webhooks, idempotency, reconciliation

• Event-driven architecture or data pipelines for usage metrics

• Integrations across CRM, billing, and accounting stacks (Salesforce, HubSpot, NetSuite, Xero)

• Designing for global payments: multi-currency, tax, and regional payment methods
