Performance & Enablement Lead
Who we are
Healthcare needs a better rhythm: one that keeps care continuous and deeply human. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that works alongside clinicians to make that possible.
We’re a team of doctors, engineers, designers, researchers, and creatives building tools that help clinicians stay focused on what matters most: their patients.
In just 18 months, Heidi has given back more than 18 million hours to healthcare professionals — supporting 73 million patient visits in 116 countries. Today, more than two million patient visits each week are powered by Heidi worldwide.
Backed by nearly $100 million in funding, we’re growing in the US, UK, Canada, and Europe, partnering with leading health systems including the NHS, Beth Israel Lahey Health, and Monash Health.
The Role
Heidi is building the defining healthcare AI company of the next decade.
We're setting ambitious targets because the problem demands it: doubling healthcare capacity, building AI systems clinicians rely on, and moving faster than anyone else in the space.
To do that, we need exceptional people doing their best work. This role exists to make that real. You will own how performance works at Heidi, ensuring the bar is clear, the signal is strong, and decisions are fast and well-founded.
You'll work directly with leaders and founders at the intersection of strategy, execution, and systems. This is not a traditional People role. You are responsible for ensuring the company gets stronger through higher standards, faster decisions, and execution that lands.
What you’ll do
Performance at Heidi (end-to-end)
Own and run Heidi's quarterly performance cycles. Define and continuously sharpen what "at bar" means across roles.
Lead calibration with a strong point of view, holding the line on grade quality and ensuring leaders are assessing on the same standard across the business.
Raising performance across the business
Work directly with leaders to raise performance standards. Set expectations for goal quality, output, pace, and accountability.
Step into teams where performance is off-track and drive interventions that move the needle. Diagnose root causes of underperformance and define what needs to change.
Provide founders and senior leaders with clear visibility on where standards are strong and where action is needed.
Leader enablement
Set the standard for what great performance leadership looks like at Heidi. Equip leaders to set clear expectations, assess performance accurately, and deliver direct, high-quality feedback.
Build simple, effective frameworks, including how we assess performance in the first 90 days and bring them to life through hands-on facilitation with leaders and teams.
A fair and well-designed system.
Ensure the performance system surfaces real signal without structural bias. The way we assess performance should reflect what great actually looks like across different roles, levels, and working styles, not just the most visible contributors.
A system that measures what actually matters
High performance is diverse and complex. This role requires genuine systems thinking: knowing which levers to pull (and which to leave alone), designing for signal over noise, and building a framework that captures and incentivises the full picture of contribution.
It should work fairly, across roles, levels, and working styles, without systemically advantaging some contributors over others.
Performance rhythm and AI
Own the operating rhythm behind how teams run: OKRs, reviews, progress tracking.
Embed AI to improve the speed and quality of performance signal, reduce manual overhead, and surface insights earlier.
Remove friction and anything that slows good decisions down.
What we’re looking for
You've operated in high-performance, fast-scaling environments
You hold a high bar and are comfortable making and driving hard calls
You are commercial and outcome-focused, not process-driven
You're comfortable working directly with senior leaders and founders
You bring clarity to ambiguity and drive outcomes, not just structure
You're direct, honest, and able to challenge when needed
You have experience building or scaling performance frameworks: OKRs, performance cycles, calibration
You have experience using AI tools or building workflows to improve speed, insight, or decision-making
