A Thank You: Free Heidi for Every GP Practice in the UK

Just over a year ago, Heidi launched in the UK. This time last year, 2,670 patient consults a week in the UK were supported by Heidi. Just twelve months later, Heidi supports 285,000 patient consults a week in the UK. In my twelve years as a practicing GP, I’ve never seen a tool adopted as quickly as Heidi. It’s all down to clinicians like you telling your colleagues about something that actually works.

What we’ve learned a year on is that while Heidi certainly helps individual clinicians, it’s when Heidi is embedded across the whole practice that real efficiency, cohesion, and team and patient experience uplift flows. We know when everyone—from reception to nurses, ANPs to physios, pharmacists to GPs—has access to the same tools, practices become stronger and more connected. However, despite all these benefits, it’s often too challenging to cut through the red tape to get Heidi approved and funded for your practice.
