Heidi integrates with CareStack to generate real-time clinical notes using AI, directly from your consultations.

Overview

The latest Heidi AI Scribe integration update now allows users to create and link their Heidi accounts via both web and mobile applications. With this update, users with AI Scribe access in CareStack can:

  • Create custom note templates in Heidi and access them while using AI Scribe in CareStack.

  • Share note templates with other users who are also using the Heidi integration.

  • View AI Scribe notes created in CareStack directly within Heidi’s web and mobile platforms.


Create & Link a Heidi Account


Let's explore how to create and link a Heidi Account.

  • Search for the patient using the Global Search Bar.

  • Hover over Clinical > select Chart.

  • Click the +AI Scribe button on the top right.


On the 'Set up your Heidi widget' pop-up that appears,

  • Click "Continue in a new window."

  • If you already have a Heidi account,

    • Enter the Email id.

      • Click Sign in with email.

  • If not, click Create one.

  • Enter the account details such as,

    • Enter the Name.

      • Enter the Work Email.

        • You may use a different email address than the one linked to your CareStack account.

      • Choose the Specialty from the dropdown.

      • Choose the Country from the dropdown.

      • Read and checkmark "I have read and agree to abide by the Usage Policy and Terms of Use."

  • Click Join for free.

    • You can also click Sign up with Google, to sign up with your google account.

  • You will receive a verification code from Heidi via email.

    • Enter the Code to verify your account.

      • Click Verify your email.

  • Create a password for your new Heidi account.

    • This password is specific to Heidi and is not linked to your CareStack login credentials.

      • Click Continue.

  • Review and accept Heidi’s terms and policies.

  • Click Continue.

  • Once you accept the policy, your Heidi and CareStack accounts will be successfully linked.

  • You can either Stay on Heidi web or Use Heidi on your integration.

Access and Manage Heidi Features

Once your Heidi account is created and linked with CareStack, you will have access to the following key features:


1. Create Custom Note Templates
Once you login to Heidi,

  • Click the Template Library in the Heidi web or mobile app to create your own custom note templates

    • Click + Create template on the top right.

      • These templates can be tailored to suit your workflow and documentation needs.

      • You can also share templates with your team members, enabling a consistent note-taking format across users who are part of the Heidi integration.

  • Once a note is created in Heidi, it will automatically appear in the AI Scribe widget in CareStack. You can access and insert the note after recording your voice input using the widget. Click here to know more.

2. View the notes created in Heidi Web and Mobile Applications

Once you record a note using the AI Scribe widget in CareStack, it will be available in your Heidi account under the Sessions.

  • Any edits made to notes within the Heidi web or mobile applications will not be reflected in CareStack.


3. Team Management
If your practice has multiple user licenses for Heidi, you can add users as team members and share note templates with them for a consistent documentation experience.

  • To add team members, please contact CareStack Support (support.aus@carestack.com) and provide the following details for each user with AI Scribe access:

    • CareStack username or email address of the provider

      • Email address associated with their Heidi account

      • Role: Administrator or Clinician

  • Once added, shared templates will be available to all team members within the Heidi platform.


4. Access Heidi Help and Tutorials

  • You can access the Heidi help content and tutorials from within the application.
