About Medicus integration with Heidi
Overview
Medicus is a cloud-native GP system, which makes it strange to still be copying a note from one window into another. So you don't.
Heidi runs as an embedded widget inside Medicus. Open it from the patient record and Heidi transcribes the visit, then builds a structured, editable note. Review it, press push, and it lands in the record.
Available for Heidi Practice and Enterprise plan users, and built for NHS GP practices in England running Medicus.
How does it work?
Heidi launches as a widget directly inside a Medicus patient record. Press start at the beginning of the visit and Heidi transcribes what is said by both clinician and patient. When the visit ends, Heidi produces a structured note you can edit in the widget, then files it to the record in one step.
Embedded widget: Heidi opens inside Medicus, with no tab switching or separate program to run
Live transcription: press start and Heidi transcribes the visit as it happens
One-click push: review and edit in the widget, then file the note straight to the Medicus patient record
Full document generation: referral letters, medical reports and patient instructions come from the same visit using your own templates
Optional patient context: upload referral forms, medication lists or previous notes so Heidi has the background before you start
Getting connected
Check that your practice is live on Medicus and that you are on a Heidi Practice or Enterprise plan
Enable the Medicus integration from your Heidi account settings
Authorize the connection once, then open Heidi from any Medicus patient record
Set your note templates so the pushed note matches how your practice documents
