How Does the Semble Integration Work?

Heidi is created to work seamlessly within Semble, so you can document while you interact with patients without changing apps, disrupting your workflow, or adding complexity. Whether you're in a face-to-face appointment or conducting a video consult, Heidi listens in real time, transforms your speech into structured notes, and lets you review and finalize everything inside the same patient file. Here’s how the Semble integration with Heidi generally works in three easy steps:

Step 1: Enable Heidi in Semble

Log in to your Semble account, go to Settings then Integrations, and toggle on Heidi. If you don’t see this option, a Practice Manager may need to update your user role permissions. Next, navigate to a patient’s file and click the Heidi AI logo.

When prompted, grant microphone access and select “Continue in a new window” to open the Heidi interface. Just log in when you already have a Heidi account, but if you don’t yet, simply sign up for a 30-day free trial, where it takes less than a minute to set up and no credit card is required.

Step 2: Start the Consultation

Once logged in, click “Use Heidi on your integration” to activate the connection and return to Semble. From here, click “Start Visit” to begin your session. You can also add Context to highlight relevant patient background or other concerns, and choose a Voice Style that matches your tone, whether brief, detailed, super detailed, etc.

Step 3: Choose a Template and Push the Note

At the end of your consultation, select a template that fits your documentation needs such as admission notes, medical certificates, or discharge summaries. Review the output and, when ready, click “Push Note” to insert it directly into new or existing Semble letters. You can also copy and paste notes into other files if preferred.
