Heidi Feature Updates coming in October

Welcome to your October release preview. All feature updates are organized by platform giving you approximately 30 days to review features, plan internal communications, and ensure your team is ready before they go live.

As a reminder, we have updated our release cadence from 14 to 30 days, giving your IT and clinical teams time to prepare, train, and ensure compliance before changes go live.

This means all new features will be accessible to your organisation on Monday November 9th.

Medical notes displayed on digital devices

We've refreshed the typeface, icons, buttons and fields. Everything stays where you left it, with a calmer, clearer look.

Find the right template at a glance

Review your templates in the new Grid View, or search and filter with the same table controls you use in Sessions, Tasks and Patients. Your Favourites and Queued templates now sit in the table, a click away. Learn more.

Report issues in a few clicks

Thumbs up/down buttons appear after note, document and transcript generation. If something looks clinically wrong, click the thumbs down and tick Safety Issue to send it to Heidi's safety team. Learn more.

Your practice’s letterhead, now in PDFs

Add your logo and a rich text header in the letterhead editor in Settings, then set a footer with your details and a signature you type or draw. Every PDF you export from Heidi goes out branded and signed, with no need to finish the letter in Word. Learn more.

Quality of life improvements

  • Assign clinical tasks to a team as well as an individual. Open the assignee picker and choose a team to route the work to whoever is on duty.
  • Upload your schedule as a PDF, in addition to the formats Heidi accepts today. Turn on Context extraction when you upload, and Heidi pulls the reason for visit, medical aid details and other diary notes into each loaded session as context. Web only.
  • A new source control button in Ask Heidi shows which sources are on. Web only.

Fixes

  • Uploaded documents stay visible in the processing view after you leave a collection and return.
  • Copying shortcut and pane content returns the right copy type, and the legacy clipboard fallback is back.
  • Transcript specialty names use the canonical name, and "Other" is localised.
