The patient currently reports intermittent left flank pain and occasional urinary urgency. No blood in urine has been noted. Past Stone History Calcium oxalate stone Underwent lithotripsy in 2019 CT scan in 2019 showed a 5mm stone in the left kidney Past Medical History Hypertension, Hyperlipidemia Assessment and Plan The patient has a 6mm stone in the left renal pelvis with intermittent symptoms of flank pain and urinary urgency. Imaging confirms the stone parameters. Surgical options include ureteroscopy or shock wave lithotripsy. Instructions for Stone Prevention I suggested copious hydration, avoid excessive animal protein, salt and refrain to the greatest degree possible from colas and cheese.
