Your practice’s letterhead, now in PDFs

Your exported PDFs can now carry your practice's letterhead. Open the letterhead editor in Settings to add your logo and a rich text header, then set a footer with your details and a signature you type or draw. Every PDF you export from Heidi goes out branded and signed, so you no longer need to round-trip through Word to finish a letter. Learn more.

Quality of life improvements:

• Upload your schedule as a PDF, in addition to the formats Heidi accepts today. Turn on Context extraction when you upload, and Heidi pulls the reason for visit, medical aid details and other diary notes into each loaded session as context.
• A new source control button in Ask Heidi shows which sources are on.
• The sidebar now fits small screens. Menu options that don't fit move into the "More" menu.
• The rebuilt session list makes today's work easier to find and start.
• The Teams page now uses the same DataTable as Sessions, Tasks and Patients, so the controls look the same across the app.
• Clinical tasks can now be assigned to a team, not just an individual. Open the assignee picker and choose a team to route the work to whoever is on duty.

Fixes:

• Uploaded documents stay visible in the processing view after you leave a collection and return.
• Copying shortcut and pane content returns the right copy type, and the legacy clipboard fallback is back.
• Transcript specialty names use the canonical name, and "Other" is localised.

Desktop

Download the latest version of the desktop.

Feature updates:

• Rate with a reason: when you rate a note, pick what went wrong or add your own words under Other. After each dictation, a short prompt asks how it went.
• Screen readers announce your selected microphone and speaker, and any silent-capture warning.
• Heidi Remote: each recording creates one session, an interrupted session shows its partial note, and an offline screen replaces the endless loading state. Remote settings have their own page under Settings > Devices.
• My Templates: rename templates from the table and toggle queue status inline.
• Smoother setup for marketplace integrations, with a new sign-in flow for marketplace apps.
• The team join tutorial now matches your language and region during onboarding.
• Chinese, Japanese and Korean names appear surname first in onboarding, signup, the create patient drawer and the patient profile.
• A badge now shows when a note has been pushed to your EHR.
• The Upcoming section of the session list starts collapsed, and task assignee pickers show an avatar with initials for each team member.
• Evidence: link patients and sessions mid-chat, choose library modes for each collection, and manage source controls in one place across settings and the in-session picker.
• Session list dates and times follow your locale, your language is kept through the onboarding sign-in, and community gallery filters default to your country and specialty.

Fixes:

• Reopened offline sessions restore your consent answer, and synced offline sessions keep their local recording time.
• You can start a new recording after a failed start or an ended session, and the microphone starts when you first pick one.
• Failed context uploads stay visible so you can delete or retry them, and long documents keep processing past 60 seconds.
• Speaker changes save before the popover closes, and the popover stays open so you can retry if a save fails.
• Smart dictation keeps the cleaned transcript if you edit the note before cleanup finishes.
• Linked patient profiles open the right patient, and the delete option on patient documents depends on who uploaded them.

Mobile iOS and Android

iOS new features:

• Browse and search shortcuts, including your own, from an Evidence chat.
• The transcription and note language pickers load supported languages from Heidi, so new languages appear without an app update.
• The redesigned session view gives your note more room. The title collapses as you scroll, and the actions stay within reach.
• The transcript shows where you paused and resumed.
• The patient consent pop-up links to Settings, and Heidi remembers your consent choice for each session.
• Heidi Remote keeps recording if your phone loses connection mid-visit. The session shows that Remote is recording offline, and the audio syncs when it reconnects.

Fixes:

• If the server deletes a session while you record, "Create new session" works and Heidi recovers the audio on your phone.
• Your team's own consent wording appears in the patient consent pop-up.
• If your sign-in expires, you see the login screen instead of a blank screen.
• Tapping Resume on the Lock Screen recording card after the app closed no longer starts the recording twice or loses audio.
• If a Bluetooth or external mic stops working, recording switches to the iPhone mic instead of ending with no transcript.

Android

New Features:

• Heidi Remote keeps working when your phone loses connection. The session list and session detail show whether Remote is recording offline, reconnecting or reconnected, and the session syncs once Remote is back in range, so you can see your audio is safe.
• Choose how long your Remote waits before it switches itself off, or set it to Never, from the Remote detail screen.
• The patient consent pop-up links to Settings, so you can change your consent preference with one tap.

Fixes:

• Heidi Remote recordings stay on your device until the upload is confirmed.
• Reconnecting your Remote mid-recording no longer creates a duplicate session.
• A second Bluetooth disconnect after a recovered recording no longer shows "session not found".
• The Transcript tab shows a pause as a pause, not as the end of the session.
• Session detail shows the languages you picked for multi-language sessions instead of "Auto".

Remote

New features and fixes

V4.6.4:

• Fixes a problem that left some recordings empty. Your Remote now keeps the memory it needs for recording ready throughout the life of the firmware.
• Empty recordings that were hidden from sync now show up in the app, so you can tell a failed session from one that was empty on purpose. Current app versions will not show this until a future app update.

1. Connect your Remote to the mobile or desktop app over Bluetooth.
2. When the update prompt appears, follow it to install. To update later instead, open your Remote settings in the app and follow the prompts when you're ready.
