Progress Notes: October 2026
Heidi II, one of our biggest launches yet, began rolling out in October. Hand off the admin around your visits, and get answers to clinical questions from leading journals. We also refreshed Scribe so your note stays in view during the session.
Read the full list of changes below.
Hand over tasks to Heidi
Heidi already handles the documentation inside your visit. Now Heidi II* takes on the work around it, across your calendar, inbox and patient portal. It plans multi-step tasks and carries them out across systems that were never built to connect. You review and approve everything before it goes out.
What you’ll find:
- Home: Your patients, sessions and tasks in one view.
- Agents: You give Heidi a task, and it works through each step.
- Memory: Heidi keeps your preferences and applies them to future tasks.
- Journals: Answers to your clinical questions, grounded in leading journals and clinical literature.
Available on Desktop, Web and Mobile (iOS and Android). Learn more.
*Heidi II is not available in the UK or Europe.
Scribe, reorganized around your note

Download the latest version of the desktop.
What’s new
Desktop:
- You can now see each patient’s session count. If you can’t delete something, Heidi tells you why.
- You can now start a task on your desktop from your phone, check your routines in chat and choose which computer runs each task. Heidi completes the work while you travel to the clinic.
- Team admins can now turn on auto-deletion for standalone Evidence chats and pick a retention window that fits your practice’s data policy. Your existing chats stay put until an admin sets a window.
- Rate your dictations from Dictate history.
- Letters now use your team's letterhead be default.
- Link Remote to your account before pairing. If a session gets interrupted, Remote picks up where it left off.
Mobile app iOS:
- A darker dark mode and a tidier Home screen make the app easier on your eyes.
- Remote now lets you know when a session reaches its 5-hour limit.
Mobile app Android:
- Add documents to a session from more places on your phone.
- Export a note as a QR code to move it into EHRs on closed networks.
- A new “Coming up” row on Home shows your next appointment.
Quality of life improvements
- Live transcripts in Chinese, Japanese and Korean now appear with less delay, so you can follow the conversation on screen as it happens.
- Push to EHR now appears only when you launch Heidi from your EHR, so notes always go to the right patient.
- The EHR lists now show only the systems available in your country.
- New team members get a welcome tour, and you can request access from your team admin in a few clicks.
- Spoken translations play as Heidi generates them, so you can keep your hands free.
Fixes
Desktop:
- When you duplicate an XML or JSON form template, the copy keeps its original form source.
- The sessions page now opens correctly in right-to-left languages.
- If you aren’t an admin, Heidi now points you to your admin when you try to upgrade.
- If you unplug your Dictate mic, Heidi switches to your system default.
Mobile app iOS and Android:
- Remote sessions without a template now generate a note using your default template or Auto. (iOS)
- If you stop a session without a template on your iPhone or iPad, Heidi asks you to choose one so your note starts right away. (iOS)
- An empty backup no longer ends your session. Heidi offers to recover it instead. (iOS)
- When you stop a resumed web dictation, Heidi keeps the template you chose. (iOS)
- Web app sign-in links now open in your browser instead of the Heidi app. (Android)
- Session links that include a language now open correctly. (Android)
- The consent pop-up now shows your team’s custom wording and closes properly. (Android)
- Remote sessions now finish uploading before Heidi clears them. (Android)
- QR export now supports Japanese characters. (Android)
