About Genie integration with Heidi
Overview
Heidi’s integration with Genie helps specialists complete their notes and letters instantly by turning spoken consultations into documentation that flows straight back into Genie. The integration connects Heidi’s ambient AI scribing with Genie, Magentus’ desktop EMR and practice management system, so clinicians can document once in Heidi and keep the patient record complete in Genie. It’s built for private specialist practices across Australia using Genie desktop, including gynaecology, obstetrics, orthopaedics, rheumatology, dermatology, ophthalmology, paediatrics, plastic surgery and more.
How does it work?
Heidi runs alongside Genie and connects securely to your Genie instance via an API key issued by Magentus. Clinicians capture their consultation in Heidi as they speak; Heidi then generates structured clinical notes and letters that can be sent straight back into the Genie patient record. With a single click, documentation moves from Heidi into Genie so everything lives in the system your practice already uses every day.

How to get connected
Contact the Heidi sales team to request activation of the Genie integration.
We’ll work with Magentus to generate your clinic’s API key and let you know as soon as it’s ready, usually within a few business days.
Once your API key has been issued, you can complete the integration setup from your Heidi desktop app.
