Step 1: Launch Smart Scribe in the SmartBar
Start by opening the patient’s record in MedicalDirector Clinical. From the SmartBar, click Smart Scribe. This opens the Heidi interface directly inside MedicalDirector. If you've used Heidi before, there’s no extra login or setup required.
Step 2: Sign In or Create Your Heidi Account
If you’re new to Heidi, follow the prompts to create an account by entering your email address, verifying your identity, and setting a password. You’ll be guided to start a 30-day free trial, with no credit card needed. If you’re already on a Together Plan, you can start documenting right away.
Step 3: Start a New Session
Click + New Session to begin. You can choose to record live audio during your consult or upload a pre-recorded audio file. Make sure your microphone is enabled and SmartBar is pinned. Use Pause and Resume to manage longer or interrupted sessions with ease.
Step 4: Review and Customize Your Note
Once you click Stop, select the template you want to use, and the AI-structured note based on the recorded session will appear immediately.
