Orthopaedic Surgeon _Operation_: - Right Hip Arthroplasty performed on 1 November 2024 _Operative findings and procedure_: - Intraoperative findings revealed severe osteoarthritis of the right hip with significant cartilage erosion and osteophyte formation. A total right hip arthroplasty was performed using a cementless femoral stem and acetabular cup with a ceramic-on-polyethylene bearing surface. The procedure was uneventful, with good stability achieved. Haemostasis secured, and wound irrigated prior to closure. _Post-op instructions_: - Patient to remain non-weight-bearing on the right leg for 6 weeks, progressing to partial weight-bearing as tolerated thereafter. Regular physiotherapy sessions to commence post-operatively. Pain relief as prescribed (Paracetamol 1g QDS, Co-codamol 30/500 TDS PRN). Advised to avoid hip flexion > 90 degrees and internal rotation. Follow-up appointment scheduled in 2 weeks for wound check and staple removal. "Kind regards,"
