This month brought a milestone for Heidi with the launch of Heidi Remote, our first hardware product, purpose-built to close the gap between AI documentation and the realities of clinical environments.
Alongside Remote, we shipped Evidence on mobile, a native Cerner EHR integration, and a wave of improvements across web, desktop, and mobile. Read on for the full rundown.
Heidi Remote

Introducing the clip-on microphone built for clinical work
Heidi Remote is a clip-on recording device that captures patient sessions and syncs to the Heidi app for automatic clinical note generation. It works online and offline — recording and storing sessions securely on-device when there's no Wi-Fi, and syncing automatically when connectivity returns.
Use Heidi Remote for:
- Ward rounds (moving bed-to-bed without pulling out your phone)
- Home visits and community care in low-connectivity settings
- High-traffic clinics where notes need to keep pace with patients
- Any setting where phone placement, battery, or signal is unreliable
Pair once with the Heidi app on iOS, available now and coming soon to Android. Press once to start recording, press once to stop. Each patient session is saved separately — no manual splitting required.
Heidi Remote features a 360° omnidirectional mic with noise reduction, tuned for voice clarity through masks and busy ward environments. A 14-hour battery, 32GB of on-device storage (100+ hours), and a 21g magnetic clip, plus end-to-end encryption compliant with the highest standards.
Heidi Remote is currently available for purchase in Australia, USA, Canada, United Kingdom and New Zealand. Heidi Remote currently pairs only with Heidi’s iOS app. Android and desktop apps coming soon.

Integrations
Heidi integrates with Cerner EHR

Heidi integrates with Oracle Health's Cerner Millennium
Heidi connects directly with Cerner Millennium, so clinicians can capture consultations and push structured documentation back to the patient record without leaving their EHR. Notes can be written back as a finalised note or mapped section-by-section to existing Cerner MPage components, ready for review and sign-off. Patient context syncs automatically at launch, removing manual data entry and reducing patient selection errors. Live across PowerChart and FirstNet, with further clinical settings on the roadmap.
Available to Practice and Enterprise plans. See how it works.
Widget updates:
- A new onboarding flow was shipped for the Heidi EHR-embedded widget. Widget partners and clinicians experience a more reliable, consistent authentication flow.
- Clinicians can now mark templates as favourites for quick access to generate their custom note or document.
- Minor bug fixes to improve reliability and patient ID handling.
More Heidi updates:
- Direct sessions with anyone in your team: lets clinicians grant View, Edit, or Full Access to individual sessions for specific team members in their organisation. Assistants can help complete notes and handoffs work without workarounds, all within a closed-by-default model that respects your organisation's existing visibility settings. Available to Practice and above, only on Heidi Web. Learn more.
- Team admins can now reliably resend team invitations to team members without needing elevated “add member” permissions.
- Evidence: Bulk upload PDFs to a collection at once, browse and search your Evidence chat history, and save relevant chats to appear in the sidebar.
iOS:
- Heidi Remote hardware support is now available on iOS, so clinicians with Chronicle devices can now pair and use hardware-based recording.
- Improvements were made to iOS audio capability, transcription completeness, and note edit persistence, ensuring a better user experience and documentation quality.
Android:
- Multilingual functionality has been updated to include 7 new languages: Chinese Simplified & Traditional, Japanese, Korean, French, German, and Spanish.
- Improvements were made to offline dictation transcription and uploads, so clinicians can reliably record offline; sessions upload and notes generate automatically when connectivity is restored.
Desktop releases:
- Evidence updates:
- Bulk upload PDFs to a collection at once, browse and search your Evidence chat history and save relevant chats to appear in the sidebar.
- "Auto" as default template: Let Heidi automatically choose the best note template for each session.
- PDF Forms now have new number and date fields in the Form Editor for more structured data capture. Users can also zoom beyond 200% for easier accessibility when editing.
- Capture audio from specific apps (Zoom, Teams, Chrome, etc.) regardless of output device. The speaker selector groups devices and apps with per-app icons.
- Custom export headers & footers can now be configured for document exports at the team level.
- Bug fixes:
- Fixed "Recording already started" error that could block recording after audio device issues.
- Fixed voice and template settings not applying when changed after session creation but before note generation.
- Fixed notes rendering markdown characters as literal text instead of formatting.
