Manage your to-do list with Tasks

You can now create, assign to team members, and set due dates on Tasks generated directly within a session. Task suggestions are also more precise, with fewer irrelevant actions, each traceable back to what was discussed during the patient visit. The Tasks dashboard brings all logged tasks into one place for the whole team, so nothing slips through at handover. Access tasks from the session panel or the Tasks tab in the sidebar on Web or Desktop. Task team assignment requires a Practice or Enterprise plan. Available on Web and Desktop. Learn more.

Dark mode is here, for tired eyes and low light

You asked. We listened. Heidi's web interface now supports dark mode. For clinicians in dim consult rooms, radiology suites, night shifts, or long telehealth sessions, dark mode reduces eye strain and screen glare. Easily switch between Light and Dark from your account menu. Available to all users on Heidi Web.

Creating new Forms just got easier

When creating a new Form, you can now upload any PDF document and Heidi automatically detects and labels every field, removing the need to manually structure it yourself. From there, you can tell Heidi exactly how each field should behave: set it as a checkbox, radio button, number, or text. Finished Forms live in your Forms library, so you can set it up once, ready to re-use and share with your team. Find it under Forms on web, best experienced in Chrome or Edge. Learn more.

Quality of life improvements

A dedicated My Forms page brings all your clinical forms together in one place, making them easier to access and manage without navigating through settings. Available to all users. Learn more.
Tasks can trigger document generation directly, allowing clinicians to produce a referral or clinical summary from a task without re-entering session context. Available to all users on web and desktop. Learn more.
The in-app notification panel now pops out directly from your side menu bar via the bell icon, allowing you to click and view your notifications from anywhere in Heidi without leaving your Session or Task list. Available to all users on web.
Organisation Admins can now log out any member of your organisation remotely. This is useful when a team member has lost their device, is leaving on complex terms, or when you notice unusual account activity. Available to Teams and Enterprise. Learn more.

Bug fixes

Uploading multiple files at once now processes all files, not just the first.
Uploading a .doc file now shows a clear error if failed, instead of failing silently.
Session details now restore correctly when switching between screen sizes.
Notes now preserve angle-bracket text, so content like <review in 6 weeks> is no longer stripped.
Evidence side-by-side no longer flashes when you send a message that doesn't trigger a search.
Chinese (Mandarin) now displays correctly as the input language (include if you have meaningful Chinese-language users).

Feature updates:

Patient Context to start a session: Attach patient documents to a session as note-generation context, with a new patient drawer showing document readiness and session history. Learn more.

Bug fixes

Fixed the "View live transcript" option incorrectly appearing in desktop builds.
Fixed dictation paste not working when hovering over the widget.
Fixed an unnecessary Remote auto-sync triggering on app start when no device was connected and improved session list refresh after a remote sync complete.
Fixed a stuck session-page when requests timed out or returned 404.
Fixed the Evidence sidebar not closing when navigating away from a session.

Mobile iOS and Android

iOS new features:

Forms templates created on web are now visible and selectable in the mobile template list.
When editing notes in the session view, markdown-formatted notes now render headings, bold text, and tables. Use the toolbar icon to toggle between formatted and plain text.
Heidi Remote recorded sessions now display a Heidi Remote indicator badge in the session detail header.

Fixes

Fixed an incoming phone call unexpectedly pausing an active recording.
Fixed notes from web-recorded sessions not appearing on mobile.
Fixed audio data loss when recording with the screen locked.
Fixed Heidi Remote sessions ignoring the user's default note template when syncing.
Fixed duplicate sessions appearing in the session list after a Heidi Remote bulk sync.

Android new features:

Session notes using Markdown formatting now render correctly with headings, bold text, bullet lists, and tables. Rich text editing is available in the note editor, with a toolbar for applying formatting.
Inactivity timeout can now be configured up to 30 minutes.
Heidi Remote recorded sessions now display a Heidi Remote indicator badge in the session detail header.

Fixes:

Fixed the date format setting not being applied consistently throughout the app.
Fixed multi-language audio input not working correctly across the app.
Fixed long notes being obscured by the formatting toolbar in the note editor, making later sections of the note unreachable.
Fixed recording not auto-resuming after a phone call ends during an active session.

Remote Firmware

New features and fixes

More reliable transcription: we've significantly reduced the risk of silent, corrupted or lost sessions.
Improved button behaviour: Any press of the recording button now starts a recording when the device is idle. Previously only a short press worked, making it easy to miss the start of a session.
Smoother USB syncing: USB mode can now be activated while the cable is already connected. No need to unplug and re-plug after switching on USB mode.
