No. The review is written for you to read, and nothing from it goes back into a note or a chart. Your documentation stays as you signed it. In Manual mode Heidi waits for your go-ahead before each run, and you can stop a run at any point. What you carry into the next visit is your call.

The same as with one. You pick the visits you want reviewed, Heidi reads those transcripts and hands back examples, the things you already do well and alternatives for the moments that were harder. Everything it needs is the transcript, which Heidi already holds from the visit itself. There is nothing to set up in your practice software first.

Your own transcripts, and nothing else. Every observation quotes the exchange behind it, so you can read the words rather than take the point on trust. Suggested alternatives are grounded in published research on clinical communication. If the transcript does not show something, Bedside manner review does not claim it.

Accepted Answer

Bedside manner review reads the transcripts already in Heidi, so it never touches your EHR and does not need a connection to one. Heidi has connectors for Cliniko, Athena, DrChrono and Veradigm if you want them for other Routines, but connecting one changes nothing about how this review works.

No. Heidi drafts inside Heidi and your chart stays as it was. Nothing is written back to the record. In Manual mode the Routine pauses on each patient and waits for your approval, and you can stop a run at any point. Auto mode is your choice once you have watched it work, and the record still stays untouched.

Much the same. Clinical handover works from the patients, sessions and notes already in Heidi, plus the shift list you hand it. You get a handover for each patient and one combined summary, set out the way your receiving team wants it, whether that is an SBAR handover, an ISBAR handover or your unit's own layout. Connecting an EHR widens what Heidi can read. It is not what makes the Routine work.

The record. Every line points back to the note, result or document behind it, and clicking a line opens the source with the relevant passage highlighted. If the chart does not hold something, Clinical handover does not write it. The handover describes what the record says. Heidi does not diagnose, and no identifiable patient data trains any Heidi model.

Heidi connects directly to Athena, Cliniko, DrChrono and Veradigm. Where a Connector exists, Clinical handover reads the shift through the integration. Where one does not, Heidi works the system on screen the way you would, so the Routine still runs on a chart nobody has integrated. One exception: Best Practice has no Connector and sits outside what Heidi will work on screen. If your system is not named here, ask and we will tell you which of the two applies.

No. It shows a checklist on the Guidance side panel and stops there. It writes nothing into your note, edits no part of the visit and sends nothing to anyone. Your note stays as you documented it. In Manual mode you give the go-ahead before each run, and in Auto mode the checklist arrives with every note and you can pause a run whenever you choose.

The same as with one. You document the visit in Heidi the way you do today, medicines included. Heidi generates the note. Drug interaction check reads the medicines in that note, puts each pair to Evidence and lists what comes back on the Guidance side panel. Nothing in that sequence leaves Heidi, so a clinician with no connector sees exactly the checklist a connected practice sees.

Where does the information in the Guidance checklist come from?

Two places. The pairs come from the medicines you documented in that session's note, so you can trace every line on the checklist back to your own documentation. What sits against each pair comes from Heidi Evidence, which the Routine queries for each documented pair. The Routine adds no clinical interpretation and makes no recommendation about any pair. The clinical call stays yours.

All of them, and none of them. The Routine reads the note Heidi generated in the session, not your chart, so the EHR you use makes no difference to whether it runs. It reads your note and shows a checklist.

Clinical judgment stays with you. Heidi carries out what you direct it to do and does not diagnose or make clinical decisions on its own.

It still runs. Name the patient, set the record period you want covered, and Heidi works from the records it can already see for that patient. No connector is needed to start.

Where one does not exist, Heidi can read and fill the system on screen the way you would, and in Manual mode it pauses for your approval at each step. What comes back is the same either way: a Discharge summary or a Progress report with a citation on every line.

From the record across the period you select, and nothing else. Each line carries a citation to the entry it came from, so you can open the source and read it yourself before the report goes out.

Where two entries in the record disagree, Heidi puts both in front of you rather than choosing between them, and anything that needs your judgment comes back marked as a review item. The Routine runs under your own permissions, so it reads the records you can read and nothing beyond them.

Where there is no connector, Heidi can work the system on screen the way you would, so the Routine still runs. A few EHRs are blocked from on-screen work, and Heidi tells you when that applies to yours. You can connect, check the connection and disconnect by asking Heidi in chat, without contacting support.
