NEW YORK, 22 September 2026 – Heidi, the AI Care Partner for clinicians globally, today announced the close of a US$100 million Series C funding round led by Blackbird, with participation from other existing investors including Phoenix Court (the home of LocalGlobe, Latitude and Solar funds), Point72 Private Investments, and Headline. The round values Heidi at US$900 million. Alongside the equity round, Heidi has also secured a US$240 million growth investment led by General Catalyst’s Customer Value Fund (CVF), providing large scale GTM investment capacity to support Heidi's rapid growth and scale, bringing the total new funding to US$340 million.
The investment supports Heidi's next phase of growth: deepening adoption within global health systems, bringing agentic capabilities to support the work around patient visits, and continuing to build the regulatory and clinical safety foundations those capabilities require.

Built for healthcare's defining problem
The world faces a projected shortfall of 11 million health workers by 2030, and the gap between clinical demand and capacity is widening in every country. Heidi's ambition is to double the world's healthcare capacity while protecting what matters most: the human connection between clinicians and patients. Heidi is building an AI Care Partner that supports clinicians across the whole working day, from administration and clinical knowledge to the work around the patient visit. Every hour of admin lifted from a clinician's day is time that can be given back to caring for patients - more time listening, explaining, and treating.
Two years since launch, that demand is evident in the numbers. Heidi's AI Care Partner has supported more than 175 million patient visits (up from 73 million at Series B), and over 67 million clinical hours, more than tripling since September 2025. The platform is being used in 190 countries and 110 languages. Annual recurring revenue grew from US$1 million to US$50 million (April 2026) in just two years.

Trusted by enterprise health systems
Since its Series B, Heidi has been adopted across major public and private health systems with its enterprise activation rate sitting at around 62 percent. In the U.S., Heidi is used by Beth Israel Lahey Health, one of the largest health systems in Massachusetts. In the UK, Heidi was selected as sole supplier for the NHS England Midlands, the largest clinical AI procurement in NHS history. In Australia, deployments include The Royal Children's Hospital Melbourne, Children's Health Queensland Hospital and Health Service, and Metro South Health. In New Zealand, Heidi was deployed across every emergency department in the country.
From documentation to the full work day
Heidi has moved well beyond the scribe. It is now a connected platform that health organizations trust with the whole clinical day, with deeper connections into the major electronic health record (EHR) systems worldwide. Heidi Evidence, which brings context-aware clinical guidelines at the point of care, has answered over 10 million queries since launching in March 2026. Heidi also shipped its first wearable device, Remote, built to work across settings, from surgery to community clinics, and Dictate, a voice-to-text feature.
Clinical work itself is changing. AI agents can now work through complex healthcare workflows and come back with what needs review, which means the manual administration that has clogged health systems for decades is starting to move off clinicians' desks. What comes back is capacity, and more time for the care only a person can give.
Purpose built clinical AI
Heidi invested early in purpose-built clinical AI rather than relying on frontier models. Today, transcription and note generation, the vast majority of Heidi’s compute, run almost entirely on technology developed in-house. This gives Heidi the flexibility to use the right approach for each clinical task rather than defaulting to the largest available system, while optimizing accuracy, latency, and cost together. The result is a more efficient AI stack that enables Heidi to reinvest in the product.
These products are designed for safety and quality before they ever reach a clinician. Heidi's clinical research team leads that work through ongoing testing, validation and published research. This funding takes the same discipline into agentic AI, with the clinician in control of every decision. Part of this round also funds the clinical evidence, quality management systems and regulatory submissions that agentic capability in healthcare demands. Heidi will continue to partner closely with regulators as clinical AI takes shape, to ensure every product goes through the appropriate pathway.
