Overview
Heidi's integration with Best Practice (BP Premier) means every visit ends with a finished note, not an evening of catch-up. Your appointment book syncs automatically into Heidi so you always start on the right patient. Transcribe the visit, generate a structured note, and copy it across to the patient's record in seconds. Suited to GPs, specialists, and allied health clinicians across Australia and New Zealand, this integration works across all practice settings and documentation types, in over 115 languages.
How does it work?
Once connected, Heidi mirrors your Best Practice appointment book so the day's patients appear in your Heidi schedule in order. Select a patient to begin their session. Heidi listens to the visit and generates a structured note on completion. When you're ready, copy the note across to the patient's record in Best Practice.
Automatic schedule sync: Heidi pulls your Best Practice appointment book so your patient list is always current and in order.
Real-time transcription: Press "Start" when the visit begins and "Stop" when it ends. Heidi generates a structured note automatically.
Multi-document generation: Use templates or Ask Heidi to produce referral letters, structured reports, medical certificates, and patient instructions in 58+ languages, all from the same visit.
Customisable context: Add patient history, previous notes, or test results to the Context tab at any point to inform Heidi's outputs.

How to get connected
In Best Practice go to Setup > Configuration > Database > Setup third party integrations. Select Heidi from the list and tick the checkbox. If you cannot see this option, contact your practice manager. See detailed setup guide below.
