Heidi integrates directly with Athenahealth, so the note you build during the visit goes straight into the patient chart without copying, pasting, or switching windows. Your upcoming appointments sync automatically into Heidi before the day begins, and when the visit is done, a single button pushes your note to the right encounter in Athenahealth.

How does it work

• Schedule sync. Your Athenahealth appointments appear automatically in Heidi. Start any visit from your schedule with one tap — no searching, no manual entry.

• Real-time transcription. Heidi listens to the visit and builds a structured note in your preferred format. Stay present with the patient. The documentation happens alongside you.

• Section-linked notes. Map your note sections directly to Athenahealth fields — HPI, ROS, Assessment and Plan, and more. What you write in Heidi lands exactly where it belongs in the chart.

• One-click push. When you're ready, send the completed note to the patient's open encounter in Athenahealth with a single click. No copy-paste. No reformatting. 

How to get connected

Before you can connect your Heidi app with Athena, you must submit a request form through the Athenahealth Marketplace

1. Head to Athena's Marketplace, find the Heidi Health listing.

2. Click Contact Partner and complete the interest form.

3. Wait 2 to 3 business days — Heidi will send a follow-up form and reach out to complete the setup.
