Sleep Study report

**Re: Summary of Sleep Study Findings** 01/11/2024 This letter is to summarise the findings of the respiratory sleep study you undertook on 27/10/2024. The sleep study revealed a diagnosis of moderate obstructive sleep apnea. The overall Apnoea-Hypopnoea Index (AHI) was 22 events per hour. Positional variations were noted, with a higher AHI when supine. The average oxygen saturation was 92%, with a minimum of 80%. Snoring was recorded at 45% of the study duration. No central apnoeas were observed. The average pulse was 70 bpm. No cardiac events were mentioned. The periodic limb movement index (PLMI) was 10. The study was of good quality, with clear and reliable data. Based on these findings, I recommend the following: initiation of CPAP therapy, referral to a sleep dentist for consideration of a Mandibular Advancement Device, and a review of sleep hygiene practices. I also recommend a consultation with a dietician for weight management strategies. A follow-up appointment is scheduled for 4 weeks to assess progress and adjust treatment as needed.
