No other significant social history. - No known allergies. Assessment for Tongue Ties: - Appearance of the tongue: Restricted tongue movement, with a short frenulum visible. - Function of the tongue: Limited ability to protrude the tongue past the gum line, and difficulty with cupping the tongue. - Other relevant findings: The mother reports clicking sounds during feeds and frequent detaching from the breast. Treatment Plan: - Frenulotomy procedure performed. Instructions given to the mother on post-procedure care, including gentle stretching exercises and pain management. - Breastfeeding support and guidance provided, including latch techniques and positioning. - Supplementation with expressed breast milk advised to support weight gain.
