This partnership brings local HealthPathways guidance into Heidi Evidence, helping Canadian clinicians access relevant information at the point of care.

TORONTO, Canada - 1 September 2026 - Heidi, the AI Care Partner for clinicians, today announced a partnership with HealthPathways, a trusted source of clinical guidance, to bring local care pathways and referral routes into the Heidi Evidence platform for Canadian clinicians.

National guidelines describe best-practice care, but they rarely explain how that care is delivered in a specific community: which specialist to refer to, which local services are available, or the most appropriate referral pathway. Heidi's partnership with HealthPathways bridges that gap.

HealthPathways complements national guidance with locally developed pathways that reflect the services, referral options, and models of care available in each region. Heidi Evidence uses context from the clinical conversation to surface the most relevant guidance, allowing clinicians to make informed decisions without disrupting their workflow.

Dr. Thomas Kelly, Co-Founder and CEO of Heidi, says: "A clinician doesn't just need to know what's clinically correct, they also need to know what's actually available to the patient in front of them in their local area. That’s near impossible to keep on top of pre-AI. We built Heidi Evidence to bridge the medical knowledge gap for clinicians, but that only solves so much. HealthPathways brings that additional value to the Evidence platform, by making sure the clinician's local guidance is there when they need it, and they can give their patient the best guidance."

Through this partnership, clinicians using Heidi in regions with HealthPathways coverage can access relevant local pathway guidance within the same workflow they already use for documentation and evidence.

Heidi and HealthPathways developed the integration in partnership with clinicians and local stakeholders across the HealthPathways network, implementing the safety and security measures needed to bring HealthPathways content into an AI-assisted workflow responsibly.

Dr Kieran Holland, Streamliners Chief Clinical and Platform Officer, says "Clinicians already use HealthPathways and Heidi side by side, in GP clinics, hospital wards, allied health and more. Connecting them properly is an easy call for us. Clinicians want their AI tools to reflect the pathways their own network has agreed on and doing that safely means patients get the right local care and clinicians support in real-time. Health systems across Canada are under real pressure, and this is the kind of practical, joined-up solution that helps."

HealthPathways guidance is now available to clinicians in Ontario through Heidi Evidence.
