Session goals: Goals for this session included improving articulation of the /s/ sound in initial word positions, increasing sentence length to four words, and following two-step directions. Parent Report: Mother reported that the patient has been practicing the target sounds at home and is showing increased confidence in social settings. She also mentioned that the patient is eating a wider variety of foods. Activities - Informal observations and SP recommendations: Activities included a structured game using flashcards targeting the /s/ sound. The patient demonstrated 80% accuracy in producing the /s/ sound in initial word positions. The patient was able to follow two-step directions with minimal prompting. The patient was able to construct sentences of up to four words with some support. Recommendations to the parent included continuing to practice the target sounds at home using the provided flashcards and incorporating the two-step directions into daily routines. Observed behaviours included the patient's ability to maintain focus for the duration of the session and a positive response to verbal praise. Plan Follow up session scheduled for 8 November 2024.
